‘Do you want to have an Eco makeover on RTE’s exciting new TV Series’?
2006 behind us, you may be considering your new year’s resolution, so here’s a new one for you. How about reducing your Carbon Footprint. ‘What’s that?’ you may ask. Quite simply this is a measure of whether were living green or living mean, and is a calculation that has become as important as checking your cholesterol. Recent figures show that if all of the world’s population were to live as unsustainably as the Irish we would need over 3 planets just to survive. The biggest names in Hollywood are all opting to live green, and here’s your chance to do the same.
Paradise Pictures and RTE are delighted to announce the production of an exciting new series, which focuses on environmental and energy efficiency and we need your help.
Rarely a day passes that we are not exposed to the latest statistic or report warning us of the immanent environmental disasters looming as a direct result of our wasteful life styles. Quite simply, we can feel dwarfed by the magnitude of the issues and ask ‘What can one person do’? Well, the answer is a hell of a lot actually.
This environmental and energy efficiency makeover series, takes one person, family or business each week and teaches them ways to save energy and live more sustainably. Over the course of the series Gavin Harte One of Irelands leading figures in ecology, will attempt to drop our carbon emissions by a measurable percentage. This is illustrated in financial savings and environmental impact. He needs the nation’s help to achieve this and focuses on one makeover a week to illustrate the steps we can all take.
This is where you come in. We need families, businesses and individuals who would like to makeover their homes and lifestyles and become more green and energy efficient. The savings for your pocket and the planet are very exciting. Perhaps you want a makeover yourself or know someone who really needs a makeover.
