Entertainment Publicist, MCD Management Productions
MCD Management Productions, Ireland’s leading live entertainment promoters - responsible for a wide range of events attracting 200 to 150,000 people (from the Rolling Stones, Westlife, The Killers, Editors to Oxegen and Disney on Ice) - requires an ambitious, enthusiastic person with a minimum of two years PR/media relations experience to join their busy publicity and marketing department.
Entertainment-related experience and PRII Diploma / PR qualifications necessary. The ideal candidate must be willing to grow with the company, be flexible, creative, deadline-driven and a team player.
The chosen person would be responsible for publicising, through all media, small and major entertainment events ranging from theatre and comedy to music and dance productions. Remuneration subject to experience.

About the Festival
The Festival of World Cultures is an annual international arts and culture festival that celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of artistic traditions. The Festival programme focuses on the representation of innovative and developing artistic practice from around the world. It aims to develop both national and non-national audiences’ experience of the arts, challenging perceptions of international artistic culture through a dynamic programme of concerts & club nights, theatre and dance performances, fairs, markets & exhibitions, circus, workshops and master classes.
As the Festival of World Cultures moves into its seventh year, it is firmly established as a pioneer of new audience development and an event that works closely with communities, groups, organisations and individuals on many levels ranging from performances to volunteers. Evidence of this exchange was demonstrated last year when audiences in the region of 200,000 celebrated day and night-long in the 40 packed out venues throughout Dun Laoghaire town.
We are looking for volunteers to take on roles of artist liaisons, production assistants, volunteer supervisors, performance stewards and hospitality facilitators.

Advertising Business Development Executives
Description: Web Reservations International is a dynamic company involved in the provision of online reservations technology to the accommodation sector. We operate a number of key websites including Hostelworld.com, Hostels.com, WorldRes.com and Trav.com.
We are currently looking for Business Development Executives to join our expanding team based in Dublin City Centre close to St. Stephens Green. The candidates should have at least 2+ yrs experience of working in a similar role.
Role Description: We are looking for ambitious, energetic, focused and well-organised professionals to join our new and fast-growing Sales team. The successful candidates will form a team that will sell contextual advertising and other products for Chain Hotels, Airlines, and Insurance etc. The individuals will be responsible for researching and generating additional revenue streams for the company. The roles will suit self-starters who have previous experience in a business development role in the e-commerce or e-travel sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and acquiring new accounts for a designated region and/or industry sector.
- Research prospective business clients, assess competitive landscape, and manage the pipeline of potential Sales clients.
- Follow up and qualify inbound leads from all sources, including website and marketing
- Analysing and matching solutions to customer requirements.
- Maximising customer retention through developing relationships with key accounts.
- Working closely with the regional teams and the regional management team.
- Conducting research in the assigned industry sector utilising various resources (internet, publications, networking, referrals, etc.)
- Prospecting from a variety of sources in order to identify new opportunities
- Build and maintain pipeline of sufficient quality and quantity in order to achieve targets
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge in order to qualify every opportunity
- Focus on and meet predefined KPIs - e.g. activity targets
- Maintain accurate records of customer and prospect information on the database
Requirements
- Third level university degree.
- At least 2 years of phone or field based sales experience, with a history of overachieving targets, preferably in new business acquisition.
- A thorough understanding of the online advertising marketplace, specifically performance-based media, and client buying processes and needs. Lead Generation experience a plus
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and an ability to persuade at the executive management level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Strong teamwork skills, and highly motivated to achieve team / individual goals and work in a self-managed environment.
