Event Organiser
Spanglish is a new company that brings Spanish and English speakers together and helps them to communicate with each other. Centred around an easy to use website is an online forum where people at all levels of Spanish and English can interact and learn.
We want to organise a range of offline courses and exciting events for adults in Dublin to start with, and following on with other cities in Ireland.
As our members are people learning Spanish and Spanish speakers living in Ireland, the events must appeal to these groups. The age range of our members is diverse. The aim of the event is to create an environment where they learn new vocabulary, and have a chance to practice their chosen language in a relaxed setting. The event should be about 50/50 in English and Spanish. For example, table quiz with half questions in English and half in Spanish.
As we are a start-up organisation the event must pay for itself through ticket sales. We’re looking for someone with good ideas, good organisation skills and contacts that can plan and implement such events. Thus guarantee that all costs (their time, Spanglish time, insurance, location hire etc) are covered with the ticket sales.
Spanish is a distinct advantage. Or if they don’t speak Spanish they’ll need to demonstrate how the event will incorporate a sufficient level of Spanish.
