Workshop: Gill Gledhill, Premiere

· Gill Gledhill will reveal the who, what, where, when and how of one of the world’s largest and most important fabric fairs and how it encompasses every aspect of fabric design and manufacture that are essential to any fashion label or apparel company

· Donal’s Talk will educate business owners on how to spot struggling customers and bad debts early, initiatives on reducing overhead costs and having effective cash flow management.
· Donal Bolger is a Chartered Accountant specialising in the provision of outsourced financial control and business advisory services to Irish SMEs.
· Since 1994, Donal has extensive experience in the design, fashion and textile arena having been Financial Director with John Rocha since 1995 and whilst continuing work with John he has also worked with Louise Kennedy, Stephen Pearce, Deborah Veale, Ciaran Sweeney and the O’Driscoll Brothers.
· Over the last 10 years, Donal has also developed a specialist service of brokering and advising on licence deals between designers and manufacturers/retailers. Donal also advises a wide range of retailers (fashion, accessories and food) on their businesses
In Conversation with: Amanda Pratt, Avoca

· Amanda Pratt, creative director of the family run Avoca, one of the top 100 stores in the world, has nearly twenty years of experience working her way through the company
· She will be in conversation with Bairbre Power, editor of the Irish Independent’s Weekend Magazine, and will allow those who attend to learn more about the industry from a high-end national retailer’s perspective.
· Amanda is heavily involved in the creative side of the business, designing womenswear, accessories, packaging, and ceramics, overseeing merchandisers, the look of the shops and restaurants, as well as working with architects.
· Avoca is one of Ireland’s favourite success stories with 650 people employed across 11 shops nationwide, 11 cafes, a weaving mill and the designing and exporting of the women’s fashion label, Avoca Anthology.
· Avoca Anthology has been named as one of the top ten privately owned fashion labels in the UK and has seen numerous concessions open throughout the British Isles and Europe. Its popularity is assured due to its classic design qualities and the high end finish of the individual pieces.
